The French Football Federation is reportedly upset with the behavior of the Argentine players and plans to file a complaint with FIFA.

According to a report by the popular football website Goal.com on Wednesday, Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández was on Instagram Live while on the team bus after the Copa America victory. During the live stream, racist remarks about France were heard, which upset the French Football Federation.

Tensions between the French and Argentine football teams have been rising since the 2022 Qatar World Cup. At that time, Argentine fans had created a racist chant about French striker Kylian Mbappé. In Fernández's video, the players were heard singing the same chant. Fernández ended the live stream shortly after the chant began.

According to the French news agency AFP, the French Football Federation will send a letter to the Argentine Football Federation regarding the matter. They also plan to inform FIFA. It remains to be seen what action FIFA will take on this issue. It is worth noting that during the Qatar World Cup, the French Football Federation had also reported racist comments on social media, especially targeting their players Kingsley Coman and Aurélien Tchouaméni after they missed penalties in the final. Both players faced online racism.
